Once again, Anita has lost her memories of being Princess Tania of Faerie. She must break the enchantment if she's to save both Faerie and the Mortal World from evil Prince Lear. The stories tend to drag as the series has gone on, and this volume is no exception. However, loyal fans will continue to thrill to Tania's bravery and resourcefulness.

Princess Tania, her sister Rathina, and mortal medical student Connor continue their desperate journey to find a cure for the plague sweeping Faerie. Dark magic, legendary adversaries, and betrayal beset the trio at every turn. Action and suspense spur the plot through occasional slides into sappiness. Tania's familial relationships, particularly with prodigal Rathina, resonate despite the often stilted pseudo-Elizabethan dialogue.

Warrior Princess series.
Accepting her destiny as the gods' chosen warrior, Branwen sets out on a quest to rescue an imprisoned god. There are moments of clumsy teen angst, but at its best, the book wholeheartedly embraces high-fantasy mythos in thrilling encounters with gods and warriors. Though the haughty romantic lead and supporting cast are underdeveloped, Branwen's bond with her mystical guide Blodwedd shines.

Warrior Princess series.
"One day, perhaps, you will hear my name again. People may speak of me as the Savior of Brython--because that is, apparently, my destiny." Branwen, guided by a messenger of ancient earth spirit Govannon, must make allies of her foes to save the kingdom from Saxons. Like the first Warrior Princess book, this is a well-plotted, if overwritten, historical fantasy.

After witnessing her brother's death at the hands of a Saxon invader, Branwen's only thought is of vengeance. Her parents, however, send her away to a neighboring stronghold to ensure her safety. There she must figure out a way to determine her own destiny. Overwrought prose slightly detracts from the well-woven and compelling story.

The world of Faerie, where disease didn't exist, is now ravaged by plague. Princess Tania--whose mortal family brought in the virus--must find a cure or lose the lives of the afflicted, her true love Edric, and her welcome in Faerie. Though the romance is melodramatic, readers may appreciate the familiar heroine's journey cycle and Tania's difficult choice between two worlds she loves.

YA
Princess Tania and Edric journey on a desperate quest while her royal family fights an ancient enemy. Nearly all the action takes place in the stock Faerie landscape; Tania's former human life is barely referenced. This action-packed conclusion to the trilogy remains entertaining and engaging despite its reliance on fantasy clichés, including a climactic final battle.

Formerly ordinary teenager Tania has accepted that she is truly a princess of Faerie. Reconciling the difficulties of her human life (appeasing her frightened, angry parents) with her new life (fleeing from enchanted warriors) complicates the search for her Faerie mother, Titania. This installment consists of standard but enjoyable fantasy material and romance, progressing straightforwardly through a familiar story arc.

Sixteen-year-old Anita discovers she can walk between worlds--from her own into the world of Faerie, where she is hailed as the lost Princess Tania, seventh daughter of King Oberon and Queen Titania. The fantasy characters and depiction of Faerie offer nothing new, though readers will likely enjoy the plot twists, wish fulfillment, romance, and drama of Anita/Tania's search for self-knowledge.
