Girl vs. Boy Band series.
In this second entry, Lark's friend/love interest Teddy is now a bona fide teen idol, and "Songbird" (a.k.a. Lark, on YouTube) is rapidly becoming a country music sensation. When Abbey Road (Teddy's band, produced by Lark's mom) asks Lark to be its opening act, she battles stage fright. Music lovers will delight in the world of fandom and in watching Lark follow her dreams.

Painfully shy Lark struggles as the new kid in school and keeps her musical talents secret. That choice is hard to maintain when her music-executive mother agrees to host a touring boy band. A request from a classmate forces Lark to face the music. While somewhat fragmented, Lark's growth is believable, as is her emerging empathy for her friends, family, and the band.
