In this third installment, Celeste is sanguine about her boyfriend Brandon, whose hotness reaches its height at the full moon, for he is a werewolf who is tamed only by her kisses. The conflicts--such as Celeste's relationship with her ex-boyfriend, also a werewolf; the appearance of other werewolves who want to change Celeste; and the possibility of a cure--lack much tension, but series fans will devour this romance novel.

The second Full Moon novel picks up with Celeste and Brandon madly in love and still sorting out the fact that he is a werewolf...and finishes largely in the same place. Celeste, a true follower, is a disappointing character as she allows herself to be blackmailed rather than take a stance. Nevertheless, supernatural buffs and Schreiber fans will want to see where the romance leads.

Ever since Raven started dating vampire Alexander, she has been waiting for him to turn her. When Alexander's little sister Stormy visits, Raven hopes that her commonalities with Stormy will convince him that the vampire life is for her. While lacking character authenticity and tension, this final installment is still the light and romantic Gothic romp the series' fans will expect.

Raven is thrilled about the upcoming opening of a vampire-run nightclub. But if the Crypt attracts a crowd of "nefarious" vamps, the peaceful existence of Raven's benevolent vampire boyfriend Alexander--not to mention Dullsville's mortal citizens--will be at risk. Purple prose and little real tension are strikes against this tale of goth-girl wish fulfillment; series fans may not care.

A pack of wolves attacks Celeste in the woods and then bites her rescuer, Brandon. Celeste eventually connects Brandon's post-bite symptoms with the local werewolf legend and recent sightings. Brandon's condition, once revealed, is no surprise, undermining suspense; sexualization of his werewolf state is a bit off-putting. A subplot involving Celeste's jealous ex-boyfriend develops into a cliffhanger ending.

Goth girl Raven and her vampire boyfriend Alexander weigh the possibility of her transformation. Meanwhile, the appearance of Alexander's lovelorn buddy Sebastian forces Raven to play matchmaker to keep him away from her mortal best friend. High school drama trumps vampirism in the fluffy series continuation.

Raven and her vampire beau Alexander are back with more of the charming formula that's made them so popular. This time, their high school romance is threatened by the arrival of Alexander's royal (and deliciously over-the-top) parents, who expect him to return to Romania. Adorable meet-the-parents dinners help Raven's story reach a high standard for quality fluff.

Adorable gothlet Raven follows vampire boyfriend Alexander to Hipsterville, where he's been for over three whole days. After their reunion, she deceives him about her excursions into the Coffin Club, home of frightening (but nonsensical) vampire intrigue. Crop circles and patchoulied Aunt Libby complete the set dressing for this story, which is still appealing despite a rushed plot and silly premise.

The romantic adventures of Goth teen Raven and her vampire boyfriend, Alexander, start to develop an actual plot arc when Valentine Maxwell, the vampire brother of Raven's previously defeated nemesis, threatens Raven's annoying younger brother. The central conflicts of this humorous, fluffy series are overstated, but the fast-moving story is unexpectedly heartwarming.

YA
Goth teen Raven is thrilled with her dreamy vampire boyfriend, even though he won't turn her into a creature of the night like himself. Together they must prevent the less-benevolent adolescent undead from biting the school bully. As with the prior volumes, there's not much depth to Raven and the residents of Dullsville, but there's plenty of entertainment.

High school senior Trixie may be short of stature, but she has always had big dreams--to date a hipster hunk and to succeed as a stand-up comic. Although this novel tends to overexplain and step on its own best lines, Trixie's comic voice grows more assured and convincing as the story progresses toward its happy ending.
