Information on selecting, caring for, and training pets is related in an overloaded volume that looks at dogs, cats, fish, and birds, as well as animals one can feed in the park or bring home for an overnight visit. Though the profuse tinted photos give the volume a cheap, bargain-basement appearance, the book--which includes a section about constructing vivariums, birdcages, and other animal residences--is a helpful reference tool.
