In seven chapters, the anthropomorphized animal characters from Mr. Wolf's Class go about their school day, including forming a club to solve mysteries. Through swift shifts in perspective, each character is shown with personality and depth. The panel illustrations are straightforward and functional, and the subdued color palette spotlights the rainy Pacific Northwest–looking setting. Smart foreshadowing, true-to-life dialogue, and comedic asides make this an entertaining page-turner.

This graphic novel portrays the first day of school in a woodland town inhabited by anthropomorphized animals. The narrative follows new teacher Mr. Wolf's fourth-grade class and cheerfully depicts each character with care and depth. Internal dialogue and visual gags extend the story and provide levity. Soft-hued colors and loose, unpretentious lines focus attention on characters' expressions. Solid fills of background color emphasize moments of classroom action and child-friendly humor.

Four friends grab their pets and spend a day at the Super-Duper Dog Park. The place features scads of entertainment options, including a bouncy house for dogs and their owners. There's not much story here; instead, it's a pleasant-enough tour of Steinke's rich, dog-centric imagination. The energetic pictures do well by being calmly outlined in black and colored in understated hues.

The story opens with a girl's ode to cats: "You must kiss them. / You must love them. / You must hug them. / You must hold them." When another girl inquires about this book's title, the new friends dance together then travel to the moon. Logic is lacking; however, ample humor from the colorful cartoon-panel illustrations will please kitty lovers.
