Translated by Belinda Cooper.
In this German import, ten double-page spreads pair surreal images with textual binaries. In "One–Many," mice race toward the promise of free cheese and a waiting cat's open maw; and in "Root–Sprout" floating houses (from the cover) pull against their tethers. Finely detailed yet airy, the graphite illustrations invite exploration, offering something strange and disorienting (if sometimes obscure).
