Camille and her grandmother enjoy a special relationship that includes sleepovers, baking, walks in the park, and storytelling. When Grandma develops Alzheimer's disease, Camille is discomforted but loves her as she is. Though the text can be condescending ("Now she lives in a big house with lots of grandmas and grandpas like her"), warm golden-hued illustrations help raise the book above bibliotherapy.
