A simple text introduces the U.S. women's soccer team, details its training regimen and commitment to athletic excellence, and describes the team's victory in the 1999 Women's World Cup Final. The accompanying color illustrations are muddy in quality; the occasional color photographs aren't much better. Mia Hamm, Michelle Akers, and five other players are individually profiled at the end of the inspiring volume.
