(3) K-3 Colors of the World series. Illustrated by Barbara Knutson. In a brief introduction to this African country, ten color names are translated into Asante Twi, Ghana's official language. On each double-page spread, a paragraph of text relays a few facts on different topics, including Elmina Castle, a slave-trade-era prison; the Akosombo Dam, Ghana's electrical generator; and chocolate, a Ghanaian export. The book is illustrated with wood-cut-styled paintings and designs. Ind.
