Rachel decides to play with tradition at her family's seder by creating an afikoman scavenger hunt to find the hidden matzah. She gets everyone involved in searching and solving holiday-themed clues. The story is playful and substantive (though not precise about the order of the seder). The cheerful illustrations are true to the story but also stereotypical and unimaginative.

Peppy verses take readers through a dog's year as Fuzz enjoys "Cat-Chasing Day," "Summer Vacation," and of course "Hole-Digging Day"; "Visit to the Vet" and "First Flea Day," not so much. The tone of the thirty poems varies little, but they reflect the enthusiastic mutt's personality; full-page illustrations in bright primary colors are generic but amusing.

Cheery pastel hues and playful pictures enliven this book about things that belong together, leading up to the final image of a mother and child ("We go together because you love me and I love you"). Written in a singsongy, repetitive rhyme, some of Dunn's pairings are clever ("fire and dragon" shows a cartoon dragon roasting marshmallows) while others are trite.
