(4) PS Illustrated by Elisabeth Schlossberg. After trying several stalling tactics (which young readers will no doubt recognize) to avoid going to bed, Maddie finds her stuffed animals repeating her behaviors and addresses them in turn until all are finally ready to sleep. Wright's simple text does little more than catalog Maddie's actions, but the symmetry is effective, and Schlossberg's soft pastel illustrations add humor and comfort.

(4) K-3 Illustrated by Elisabeth Schlossberg. Short poems describe one family's Hanukkah celebration over the holiday's eight nights. Some of the verses, which are done in different rhyme schemes and are different lengths, are more effective than others. Rosy-hued pencil and pastel double-page spreads display the activities. Brief further explanation of the holiday and traditions are appended.

A little pig isn't ready to sell his beloved too-small tricycle at his family's garage sale, but the sale brings in enough money for a brand-new two-wheeler. The energetic rhyming text includes a smattering of Spanish words; a glossary/pronunciation guide is appended. Cheery pastel illustrations portray a variety of animal customers.
