B.B. Wolf (Mind Your Manners, B.B. Wolf) tries to tell his version of "The Three Little Pigs," in which he was just blowing on a dandelion puff. Unfortunately for B.B., the other nursery tale characters aren't buying it. Seibold's stylish illustrations, with their cartoon energy and zippy details, along with Sierra's multiple puns, make this new spin unique.

B.B. Wolf is invited to tea at the library. When he arrives, the other guests (especially the gingerbread boy) look worried. The librarian makes the assorted storybook characters comfortable--until B.B.'s spectacular burp. Seibold's zany digital illustrations include dozens of funny details for children to spot. Funniest of all is B.B. himself, a bundle of nerves in a social situation.

Celerina the rabbit moves into what she thinks is an abandoned house that magically fixes anything she breaks, unaware that a snail named Gluey (who already lives there) is doing the fixing. Despite Celerina's not inviting Gluey to her party (during which the home is wrecked), the two become friends. Though convoluted, Walsh's tale has charm, and Seibold's signature digitally generated illustrations are ornate and stylish.

"Some tiny insects make a seething sound, / And swarm and jitter furiously around, / Which seems to me sufficient explanation / Of why there is a gnat in indignation." Wilbur continues to play with words, this time in poems that drolly explain (or occasionally question) why certain words are found within other words. Seibold's surreal pictures suit the absurd content of the poems.
