This volume is a compendium of five books by Rosenbloom and Wilhelm published in the 1980s. Topics include knock-knock jokes, riddles, "spooky jokes," and dinosaur jokes. Though much of the material is stale, young comedians-in-training may draw inspiration from the old classics and puns. The drawings, though a little dated, are lively.

After his wise old dad is called away, owl Spotty glibly doles out advice that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. When real help is needed, Spotty puts his silliness aside and, drawing from one of his father's lessons, saves the day. Chaotic watercolors of amiable woodland creatures illustrate the story.
