Readers will be tickled by the many fairy-tale cameo appearances (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty) and the suffusion of piggy puns. The comical illustrations feature fittingly skewed perspectives.

(4) K-3 Illustrated by Jason Wolff. In this third book about a dinosaur participating in Jewish observances, the creature turns up to help a family prepare for the Friday night Sabbath. The good-humored text provides precise information about Shabbat practice, although rhyme scheme and punctuation are inconsistent in places. The accompanying illustrations juxtapose a rich, dark color scheme with cartoonish characters, adding to the text's high spirits.

(3) K-3 Illustrated by Jason Wolff. The Forgetfuls, a bear family, don't remember Christmas and don't recognize Santa. Mr. Forgetful ends up wearing Santa's suit and delivering the wrong toys to the wrong kids, but all ends well, with kids enjoying their unexpected gifts and the bears having "a wonderful time--which they never forgot!" Goofy details in new colorful illustrations of the blithely ignorant bears augment the silly tale.

(3) K-3 Illustrated by Jason Wolff. On the annual jungle Jamboree Day, all the animals gather for a wonderful celebration. The acrylic illustrations in bright jungle colors show parrots, cheetahs, chimps, and crocodiles as they arrive for a day of playing and dancing until the sun sets. The rhythm of the buoyant, rhyming text helps capture the mood of the joyful party.
