Photographs by
Margaret Butschler.
These undersea-themed poems run the gamut from contemplative ("...Will you always be here / Swimming with me?") to silly (a crab explains, "A toe-pinching scrimmage / has damaged my image...") to conservationist ("Do not pollute / this pristine sea: / an anemone's enemies / are you and me"). The book's design is thoughtful, and the accompanying photographs are stunning.
