Each profile includes the subject's insights and concludes with somewhat generic advice from an adolescent-bullying expert. In the accompanying photographs, the people exhibit honest and authentic emotions. Six "Tips on Dealing with Bullies" are appended.

(4) K-3 Photographs by Steven Vote. Fourteen children describe what it's like having a sibling with autism. Many of the accounts, though varied in their details, reflect similar difficulties, including behavior problems (especially in public) and communication delays; pride and love are also expressed. The text, based on Shapiro's interviews, doesn't always sound childlike. Well-composed photographs highlight the brothers and sisters in everyday activities and play.
