They join a group of hunter-gatherers and discover that they must complete three tasks--including finding cave art and befriending a mammoth--before they can return to the present. The factual commentary about the Ice Age presented across the bottom of each page somewhat overwhelms the slight narrative, which uses a graphic-novel format.
