Extrapolating from the Lear poem, "The Owl and the Pussycat" tells what the pig does with the shilling paid for his nose ring; in "Little Red Riding Pig," Granny gets the better of the wolf. Overly cute illustrations add little to the generally silly stories, many of which rely on puns and surprise endings.
