The narrator describes things her hand can do: "It can hug / It can throw / It can hold / It can protect." Then she lists some things she chooses not to do with her hand: "Steal / Push / Hurt / Grab / or Break." Though a bit purposive, the text is strong and direct, while the illustrations, neon blocks with dreamlike shapes, strange icons, and surreal color choices, are unsettling and eye-catching.
