Subdued illustrations show a village-dwelling boy imagining life as a komodo dragon. Although he thinks of lots of up-sides, he realizes he'd miss his friends and his vegetarian diet. The text is in rhyme, which makes the incorporation of facts a stretch. The huge reptile's tongue is erroneously shown as pink rather than yellow. Glos.
