A great resource for bored kids, this book describes basic games such as tag, jacks, leapfrog, hopscotch, marbles, telephone, clapping games, jump rope and ball games, as well as variations of each. Watercolor and pen-and-ink illustrations provide cartoon-style graphics that clarify the games and add humor. The layout and dense blocks of text are cluttered at times, but overall have appeal.
