Middle-school troll Zarf and his gang embark on a maritime adventure filled with sea monsters, mer-pigs, not-so-scary pirates, and bodily-function jokes galore. Despite all the hilarious dangers, Zarf sails back into harbor a hero. The third entry is still rather thin and familiar, but the series' enjoyable hallmarks--silly cartoon illustrations, comic one-liners, loyal friendships, fractured-fairy-tale characters--are here in spades.
