(4) K-3 Zeke and Zelda can't sleep because an enormous chizzywink (mosquito) is outside calling "I want to sip your sweet blood!" Despite their best efforts, the only way to quiet the creature is to give it some alamagoozlum (maple syrup). Lush, vivid, textured paintings and creative language (the titular words are actual colloquialisms, though from different parts of the country) give this slight story a boost.
