Using simple, straightforward, and somewhat dull prose, Harvey capably describes the habitats, features, eating habits, size, and kin (including the zebra and donkey) of the horse. It's not clear why the information imparted in the captions alongside the crisp color photos doesn't merit mention in the main text (and vice versa), but the book will surely serve report writers well.
