Alternating third-person chapters from the perspectives of high school seniors Delilah and Gavin relate their blossoming romance. There's only one problem: abandoned as a child, Gavin has been "raised" by his sentient house, and it's jealous. This horror story does have its scary moments (and some steamy ones), but the original-verging-on-bizarre premise and the similar points of view make for a somewhat disorienting read.
