Grandpop puts his three grandchildren to bed by regaling them with tall tales from his childhood on the farm. Whyte's soft watercolor paintings are as warm as the stories Grandpop tells, and her realistic style helps make the impossible events seem almost possible. It will be difficult to read aloud these stories about tickling without stopping often to tickle the listeners.
