Illustrated by
Emily Arnold McCully.
When a child asks her mother about angels, her mother describes ever-present, childlike angels dressed in floral nightgowns, then says she feels these angels are "real as love and wind and light." McCully's rosy-cheeked angels cavort around puffy white clouds; the overly adorable art matches this fanciful rather than religious text.
