Who Needs Birds When Dogs Can Fly?

(4) K-3 Photographs by Charles R., Jr. Smith. In thirteen loose, mildly humorous poems, Robinson describes an average day from four different dogs' perspectives, starting with licking his or her young owner awake. The poems strive to capture the essence of being a dog: "Oh boy! Oh boy! / ... Another day has arrived / just for me!" The color photos are laid out with the occasionally boldfaced text in such a way that some pages look cluttered.
