Illustrated by
Alleanna Harris.
At age six, Patricia Bath (1942–2019) declared: "I want to be a doctor!" Quotes from Dr. Bath appear throughout, and colorful digital illustrations reflect her curiosity and compassion. Reading list, timeline. Bib.
