Companions Quartet series.
This third book in the series will continue to captivate readers. Connie, a "universal" who can channel the power of all mythical creatures, finds herself needing help to control her own awesome abilities. The story, set in a well-constructed fantasy world populated with familiar and unfamiliar mythical creatures, delivers a powerful plot and sets up an epic finale.

This final book of the eco-conscious series sees Connie Lionheart complete her training as a "universal" able to communicate with all mythical creatures. First she must face her legacy, though, which binds her tightly to the evil Kullervo. Fast-paced, imaginative, and well-developed, this installment makes for a satisfying series finale.

The series's second installment returns to Connie Lionheart's fantastical world where, as a modern-day member of an ancient society, she and fellow members bond with mythical beings. A "universal," able to communicate with all mythical creatures, Connie requires special training that her guardian forbids--to the detriment of humankind. An environmental theme weaves subtly through this entertaining story.

This first installment introduces Connie Lionheart, a teenager tied by her animal communication skill to an ancient society devoted to protecting mythical creatures. Connie's first challenge is to shield a group of sirens from an overzealous oil company. Though the book's a bit preachy, its ecological bent grounds this fantasy in today's reality.
