Kidnapped by a serial rapist/killer, capable, determined Ruth escapes his isolated cabin and flees naked through the wilderness, her captor in pursuit. Flashbacks leading up to the abduction from both characters' perspectives are interspersed into Ruth's first-person narration. Part crime thriller, part survival story, this novel is suspenseful and dark--especially when the narrative gets inside the killer's twisted, misogynistic mind.
