Tatulli explores the sometimes-fuzzy boundary between imagination and reality in this surreal, layered picture book. Henry (in cowboy costume) shifts between fantastical daydreams and breakfast, class, and then the playground, where a satisfying surprise twist is revealed that encourages multiple readings. Tatulli's fine-lined illustrations, with vibrant colors and liberal use of comic panels, are visually engaging.
