Exasperated with Hummingbird's incessant chatter and constant mimicry, Hector (a bear) loses him in the Peruvian jungle, only to realize (predictably) that he misses his friend. The emotional beats make little sense, but the scratchy-lined, limited-palette illustrations make the jungle and its denizens brightly inviting. A final page issues a seek-and-find challenge for Peruvian animals pictured throughout the story.
