This book about nighttime jobs asks, "Who does the street sweeper...watch so late at night?" The answer, at the turn of the page, is the window dressers. Each worker connects with another as the night goes on, and details in the Bemelmans-flavored pictures also link together. Everything comes together in the end when the workers meet at an all-night café.
