Tabitha comes up with some unlikely but amusing ways to make her loose tooth fall out, including offering it to her father's Venus's-flytrap and tying it to her pet tortoise. Nothing works--until she sneezes. Though the story is rather flat, it's easy to sympathize with Tabitha's situation, and the simple, uncluttered illustrations will keep readers' attention.
