Three animal friends attempt to create one superlative snowman. The disappointing results force them to improvise--especially when the sun comes out--and their cockeyed determination is impressive if exhausting. The illustrations feature manically energetic, rubbery-faced, decidedly uncuddly nonhuman characters recalling those of SpongeBob SquarePants--not a shocker, given that Hannan is the creator of Nickelodeon's similarly uptempo cartoon CatDog.
