Illustrated by
Margot Apple.
Grandma tells stories from the family name quilt every night that Sadie spends with her in the country. When the quilt blows away in a storm, Sadie fears that the stories are gone, too, but Grandma reassures her that they're "right here inside of me." Together, they sew a new quilt. The original quilt forms an outsize landscape throughout Apple's homey illustrations, unifying its stories with Sadie's own satisfying one.
