Springy rhymes describe the joys of toys ("Muddy toys in / messy puddles. / Snuggly toys for / hugging cuddles") but conclude with a reminder about one's most important plaything: "It's there--right now! / A toy SENSATION! / Your very own imagination." Also rhythmic is Staake's geometrically enterprising art recalling the work of Dan Yaccarino via a candy-colored palette.
