Worm must earn some money so he can buy a paint set and enter an art contest. His attempts at baby-sitting, housecleaning, and delivering papers go humorously awry. Worm loses a sign-painting job when he embellishes his work, but his signs end up impressing the art-contest judges. Presented in cartoon panels, the undemanding story and color illustrations are gently amusing.
