Reconnecting with former friends, wealthy Gunner and football star Brady, leads to high emotions and romantic conflict. Told in the trio's alternating, somewhat self-absorbed voices, this second volume about the Alabama high school leaves some loose ends open.

Despite some contrivances, fans of The Vincent Boys and Glines's other mature romances will enjoy this new series.
